Privacy Policy

Overview

PartyQ is a Windows desktop application that allows guests to queue YouTube songs on a Sonos speaker system through a local web interface. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Data we collect

PartyQ does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

• YouTube search queries and URLs — processed locally on your device and sent directly to the YouTube Data API on your behalf. We do not log or retain these queries.
• Sonos device information — discovered locally via UPnP/SSDP on your home network. Never leaves your device.
• Guest connections — IP addresses of devices on your local network that connect to the PartyQ guest interface are visible in local logs for debugging purposes only and are never transmitted externally.

Third-party services

PartyQ uses the YouTube Data API (provided by Google) to search for and resolve video information. Your use of YouTube through PartyQ is subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

PartyQ communicates with Sonos devices on your local network using the Sonos local API. No data is sent to Sonos servers by PartyQ.

Children's privacy

PartyQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at flyncs.com/partyq/privacy. Continued use of PartyQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
